Panelists:

Katie Banks Katie J. Banks is the Senior Vice President and Director of Human Resources at Institutional Capital LLC. Banks leads Institutional Capital LLC's Human Resources efforts and is also a member of the firm's Senior Leadership Committee. She is the first HR professional at ICAP and was hired to develop and implement the HR strategy at the firm. Before joining ICAP, Banks was a Regional Human Resources Supervisor for Enterprise Rent-A-Car. She earned a BS from The Florida State University and an MBA from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. Banks is a member of the Chicago Society for Human Resources Management and is a member of the Orientation Committee. Banks has been with the firm since 2008 and has 9 years of industry experience.


Danielle DutcherDanielle Dutcher is a Vice President for Northern Trust. Danielle joined Northern Trust in 2012 to lead the recruiting for Northern Trust Asset Management. In this role, she recruits internal and external professionals within Investment Sales & Client Servicing, Equity, Fixed Income, and Alternative Asset Classes. Prior to joining Northern Trust, Danielle worked for Hyatt Hotels Corporation leading the corporate office recruiting and summer internship program. Danielle's past experience includes recruiting and providing HR business partner services in a variety of industries including retail/distribution, real estate, public accounting, consulting and technology. Danielle received a BA in Human Resources from Michigan State University and an MBA from Roosevelt University.


Laura Pollack Laura Pollock is a strategic advisor to leading asset management firms and their top performing executives. With nearly fifteen years of dedicated asset management search experience at both large and small firms, she built a firm founded on best practices and trusted relationships. Pollock has conducted senior-level searches in investment management and has worked closely with global investment management organizations. Most recently, Pollock was a partner at David Barrett Partners. Previously, she was a senior member of the Asset & Wealth Management Practice at Russell Reynolds Associates in Boston and New York. She began her career in investment banking and asset management at Friedman, Billings and Ramsey. Pollock received her BS from the University of Kentucky. She lives in Fairfield County, Connecticut with her husband, two daughters and a Labrador retriever, a former guide-dog-in-training who now serves as head of play-date coordination.


Jim Schroeder Jim Schroeder serves as an executive vice president and is responsible for developing and managing relationships within the Financial Services sector. He has more than 15 years of retained executive search experience serving clients in the financial services sector across all functional disciplines, including C-level and board of director roles. As an advisor and partner to senior management in all areas of human capital management, Schroeder serves private and publicly-held firms in global banking and financial markets, asset management, insurance, real estate and private equity. Prior to re-joining DHR International, Schroeder was an independent consultant to several global organizations. He began his executive search career in 1990 with a Chicago-based search firm. He was then recruited to the world's largest retained search firm as a senior associate in 1995 where he executed searches for the managing director and global practice leader. Schroeder received a B.A. in Business and a B.A. in Spanish from Augustana College, Rock Island, IL.

Jacqueline Benitez Jacqueline Benitez, MBA, SPHR

Director of Human Resources, Segall Bryant & Hamill
With just over 15 years of professional expertise in human resources, Jackie has full generalist knowledge including benefits, compensation, payroll administration, recruiting, and training. She has worked in for profit and not for profit environments. After spending sometime in healthcare, she is back to financial services. Jackie has previous financial services experience having worked at the Chicago Board of Trade Clearing Corporation (The Clearing Corporation). Jackie is an active member with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). Jackie currently serves on the Board of Directors for DePaul's ASK Program. Jackie previously served on the Board of Directors for the Illinois State Council for SHRM where she volunteered as the College Relations Director and she also served on the Board of Directors for Chicago SHRM where she volunteered as College Relations Chair. Jackie has her bachelor's degree from DePaul University with a concentration in management, specifically, human resources and MBA also from DePaul University with a concentration on Leadership & Change Management. Additionally, she attained her SPHR certification.
