Program Description:
Career Strategist Kathy Graham will discuss only the questions you want the answers to regarding HOW You Can Use LinkedIn to Move Up Your Career Ladder.

Graham dives into the "nuts and bolts" of LinkedIn. Bring your laptop or tablet so you can work together online to create and edit in real-time your LinkedIn image. Then choose how to disseminate your profile.

You will learn:

  • Top financial industry keywords to include in your profile.
  • How your online story compares to others.
  • How to use all of LinkedIn’s controls, tools, and features to shape and share (or not) your message.
  • What the new endorsements feature tells employers.
  • How to build a profile that attracts recruiters and hiring managers.
  • How to expand your professional network.
  • Whether the Job Seeker Premium feature is worth the cost.
  • How to gain a promotion and/or a raise at your current firm.

Kathy Graham Speaker:
Kathy Graham is a career strategist who owns four businesses that revolve around retained executive search and career development for professionals. Her firm HQ Seminars, Inc. was founded in 2006 and offers workshops and keynote speeches that educate while entertaining professionals regarding the various phases of career development. Graham is a frequently requested speaker on topics regarding human capital and career development, including presentations for The Boston Security Analysts Society, The Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, CFA Society Chicago, The Chicago Tribune’s TribU, FRA in New York City, MFA in Miami, NYSSA in New York City, Northwestern University’s Alumni Association in Chicago, and The University of Chicago’s various alumni groups. She has been quoted in The Chicago Tribune, Crain’s Chicago, Hedgeworld, Job Search Digest, and numerous other publications. Graham earned her MBA in Finance, Analytic Finance, and Econometrics & Statistics from The University of Chicago and a BA in Business Administration and Marketing from North Central College.
