Program Description:
Leland Clemons will address the current environment, products, assets and where we are in terms of the stage of growth, as well as the future of the ETF industry. He will also address some of the more relevant topics in the industry today, such as impact on correlations, volatility and trading.

Topics will include:

  2. Growth in ETF market footprint (overview and implications)
  3. Where are we seeing investor flows
  4. Comments on negative perceptions of ETFs in recent weeks
  5. What is on the horizon for the ETF industry?

Leland Clemons
Managing Director, Head of iShares U.S. Capital Markets Group

Presenter Background Information:
Leland Clemons leads the U.S. iShares Capital Markets Group which is responsible for delivering market insights, execution services and product structure expertise to iShares clients. The Capital Markets Group also works with other BlackRock investment teams to maintain the liquidity, tax efficiency and performance standards for iShares ETFs. Finally, the team supports iShares' efforts with U.S. exchanges and regulatory agencies regarding ETF product and market structure issues to ensure clients are represented in the face of industry change.

Clemons' service with the firm dates back to 2005, including his years with Barclays Global Investors (BGI), which merged with BlackRock in 2009. Previously, he served as a Principal on the iShares Product Management team focusing on Client Execution Services. Clemons' investment experience also includes trading research and analytics with an equity market making firm.
