Presenter Background Information:
Mr. Anson has been with OHIM since April 2010. Prior to joining the firm, he was President and Executive Director of Investment Services at Nuveen Investments, an asset management firm with over $170 billion assets under management. Prior to Nuveen, Mr. Anson served as Chief Executive Officer of Hermes Pensions Management Ltd., an institutional asset management company based in London with over $160 billion in assets under management, where he was also the Chief Executive Officer of the British Telecom Pension Scheme, the largest pension fund in the United Kingdom and the sole owner of Hermes. As the CEO of Hermes Pensions Management, he was an original drafter and signatory to the United Nations Principles of Responsible Investing. Prior to joining Hermes, Mr. Anson served as the Chief Investment Officer of the California Public Employees' Retirement System, the largest pension fund in the United States with over $220 billion in assets.
Currently, Mr. Anson is a member of the Executive Advisory Board of MSCI-Barra, the Board of Governors of the CFA Institute and the SEC Advisory Committee to SEC Chairwoman Mary Schapiro. In addition, he is a CFA Charterholder.
