Program Description:
The most successful investment professionals know how to get beyond the 5 Ps discussion about their own products (philosophy, process, portfolio, performance, people) and into the core of who their prospects really are, and how best to communicate with them to strengthen their relationships. Throughout their years of working with both institutional asset managers and wealth management firms, Ms. Skinner and Ms. Ziegler have identified best practices in client meeting preparation and facilitation that ensure that your meetings are on point, meet the client's objectives (and yours), and strengthen your client's trust in you.

Presenter Background Information:
Ms. Skinner, CFA, and Ms. Ziegler, Co-Founders of AUMPartners, have been working with investment leaders, teams and firms a combined 50-plus years. Ms. Skinner and Ms. Ziegler are also co-authors of "High Performing Investment Teams" (Wiley, 2006) and, more recently, "Investment Management: Meeting the Noble Challenges of Funding Pensions, Deficits and Growth" (Wiley, 2009).

With over twenty years in Finance and Consulting positions with Mellon Bank, Allstate Investments, Focus Consulting, and AUM Partners, Ms. Skinner has executed, managed and consulted on a broad range of roles: head of equity operations and accounting; strategic planning and asset allocation; cash flow projection and management; competitive compensation analysis; succession planning; designing incentive performance goals; performance measurement including relative performance comparisons to external peers; and presentations to Wall Street firms. Ms. Skinner is a member of the Board of Directors of Diamond Hill Investment Group (ticker DHIL), a publicly traded, independent investment advisory firm headquartered in Columbus, Ohio. She holds an M.B.A. in Finance and Marketing from the University of Illinois -- Chicago, and is a certified Enneagram instructor.

Ms. Ziegler has more than twenty-five years of experience in the investment management industry, holding leadership and consulting roles for large multi-product investment firms, family offices and specialty boutiques around the world. Before founding her first consulting firm in 2003, Ms. Ziegler served for ten years as Senior Vice President of marketing for Northern Trust Global Investments, a period when assets under management increased from $80 billion to $600 billion. Ms. Ziegler is a frequent speaker at investment industry events and is a guest lecturer on the topic of investment firm management at the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. She holds a B.A. in English from the University of Notre Dame and an M.B.A. in Finance from DePaul University. She is a member of the CFA Retained Speakers Program and the International Enneagram Institute.
