Biography: Mr. Rogers has been a hedge fund manager, an investor, a writer and a regular commentator on TV. In the 1970's he founded the Quantum Fund with George Soros. It gained about 4,000% while the S&P gained only 50%. After retiring from the management of the fund, he spent some time moderating investment television shows and making guest appearances.
He had a regular column in Forbes and has written many articles for other financial publications including The Financial Times, The Wall Street Journal, Barron's and Fortune. He also wrote the book "Investment Biker, On the Road With Jim Rogers" that chronicles his trip around the world.
He contributed to "The Book of Investing Wisdom" along with Peter Lynch, Warren Buffett, George Soros, Mario Gabelli and others.
A second round the world trip has just been completed and his adventures have been written about on his website.
He also has developed The Rogers International Commodities Index and matching fund.
