Michael Mauboussin Mr. Mauboussin will present findings from his new book, Think Twice: Harnessing the Power of Counterintuition. He will identify these tricky situations, explain why they flummox us, and provide some tools to help manage them. The best decision-makers know when to think twice and how to mitigate mistakes. Through vivid stories from business, sports, science, and everyday life, Mr. Mauboussin will categorize common mental mistakes and offer actionable advice for avoiding them.

Mr. Mauboussin is Chief Investment Strategist at Legg Mason Capital Management. Prior to joining LMCM in 2004, he was a Managing Director and Chief U.S. Investment Strategist at Credit Suisse, which he joined in 1992 as a packaged food industry analyst, Mr. Mauboussin is a former president of the Consumer Analyst Group of New York and was repeatedly named to "Institutional Investor's" All-America Research Team and "The Wall Street Journal" All-Star survey in the food industry group. He is an adjunct professor of finance at Columbia Business School and the author of the acclaimed book, More Than You Know, and co-author of Expectations Investing (HBP, 2001).
