Branding Yourself for Success and Advancement (Ended)
CFA Society of Chicago C.F.A. (Cultivating Female Ambition) Advisory Group is pleased to present:
Branding Yourself for Success and Advancement
Fran Skinner, CFA, and Jamie Ziegler, Principals, Focus Consulting Group
Please join us for an enlightening discussion with Fran Skinner, CFA and Jamie Ziegler, principals with Focus Consulting Group and co-authors of High Performing Investment Teams, (Wiley, 2006), who specialize in helping investment professionals achieve higher levels of professional and personal success through superior communications, teamwork, decision-making, and leadership practices. With over 20 years each in the investment industry in senior leadership roles across research, marketing, operations, client servicing, strategic planning and performance measurement, Ms. Skinner and Ms. Ziegler understand the unique challenges women face in the investment industry and have developed successful strategies for identifying and building on career opportunities and overcoming obstacles.
In this session, Ms. Skinner and Ms. Ziegler will address the following topics:
- Why branding yourself is essential
- Why cultural fit is critical to your success - your brand
- Branding as one of the top five competencies for female leaders... and how important communications are to your brand
- How to develop your brand
There will also be special networking sessions before and after the formal presentation, so we encourage you to come early and stay late to take full advantage of this career-development opportunity.
Note: Male members of the Society are welcome to attend. Please consider this an opportunity to showcase the diversity of the Society to a female client or co-worker.
In keeping with the community service aspect of the C.F.A. Advisory Group mission statement, we ask that you bring men's business ties and women's hosiery (un-opened) to donate to Heartland's Bridge to Success, a charitable organization providing vulnerable men and women workplace appropriate clothing and coaching to build self-confidence through appearance and preparation for interviewing and employment.
