Sold Out - XBRL: Adding interactive data to your digital toolkit (Ended)
"I've seen the future, and it's a four-letter word.
Well, actually an acronym - XBRL, or extensible business reporting language - and it will bring about a change to financial reporting as big as that when spreadsheets replaced pen, paper and calculator."
December 6, 2007
CFA Institute Centre for Financial Market Integrity and CFA Chicago invite you to an event that will unlock the promises XBRL (eXtensible Business Reporting Language) standards hold for the world of financial reporting! This event will explain how XBRL empowers investors to easily extract relevant information from the abundance of financial data.
The event throws light on XBRL concepts, XBRL's role in your valuation process and the status of multiple XBRL initiatives around the world. The speaker will also address the status of the XBRL project in the US, including the updated taxonomy public review which began on December 5.
An interactive demo using available software tools including SEC's Interactive Financial Report Viewer will reinforce the learning and provide you a starter kit that guides the automation of your reporting and analysis.
