Biography: Tom Brown is the CEO of Second Curve Capital, LLC, a New York-based hedge fund that invests principally in the equity securities of financial services companies. In addition, he is the founder of bankstocks.com, one of the most authoritative and heavily visited banking-related sites on the Internet. Mr. Brown has followed the financial services industry, as an analyst and as an investor, for nearly twenty years. Prior to starting Second Curve in early 2000, he headed the North American financial services group for Tiger Management, in New York. Before joining Tiger, Mr. Brown had a distinguished career as a sell-side financial services analyst at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, PaineWebber and Smith Barney. Institutional Investor magazine ranked him as an All-star analyst in each of his last 12 years as a sell-side analyst, and he was the number one ranked regional bank analyst in eight of his last nine years.
