Michael O’Grady is chairman, president and chief executive officer of Northern Trust, a leading provider of wealth management, asset servicing, asset management and banking to corporations, institutions, affluent families and individuals.
O’Grady joined Northern Trust in 2011 from Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he served as a managing director in the firm's Investment Banking Group. He joined Merrill Lynch in 1992. Prior to Merrill Lynch, O’Grady worked for Price Waterhouse.
O’Grady is a member of the boards of the Field Museum, Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, Catholic Extension and the Northwestern Medical Group Board of Directors. He also serves on the Finance Council of the Archdiocese of Chicago, the Board of Advisors of Catholic Charities, and the Civic Committee Commercial Club of Chicago. O’Grady earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA from Harvard Graduate School of Business.
Marie Winters, CFA, CAIA is a senior vice president for Northern Trust Asset Management, overseeing a team covering high yield and investment grade corporate bonds. She is a member of the Employee Benefits Investment Committee and has received the Chairman’s Absolute Quality Award, Northern Trust’s highest honor. Winters began her career at JPMorgan Chase (f/k/a First Chicago Corporation). As a Board of Directors direct report she headed one of three global teams assessing commercial loan portfolio management across six continents. She was an active participant and leader in new departments and initiatives, including distressed investing, high yield securities, and M&A due diligence.
Winters is Immediate Past Chair of CFA Society Chicago, President Elect of Chicago Finance Exchange, and a board director for The University of Chicago’s Comer Children’s Hospital’s Development Board. Marie earned her MBA in Finance and Economics at Washington University and her BA in mathematics at Knox College.
