11:30 - 1:00 pm
Metropolitan Club, 233 S. Wacker Drive, (Willis Tower) Chicago, IL  60606   (Driving Directions)

Program Description: After a strong run since the 2008-2009 financial crisis, the stock market has been "violently flat" since 2015. As markets digest the beginning of a Fed rate hike cycle, negative rates globally and an unprecedented political uncertainty, we're likely to see continued bouts of volatility. However, recession fears have abated alongside healthy job growth, suggesting the secular bull market is likely ongoing; albeit in a more mature phase. Key determinants of the path for stocks are likely to be the speed of rate hikes, the action in the dollar and commodities, the slope of the yield curve, and global growth.
