Please join IASC at a "Career Path Spotlight" presentation featuring expert panelists discussing equity research, hedge funds, investment strategy and portfolio management. (See below for panelists' bios.)

These investment industry professionals (from a variety of experience levels) will discuss how they started on their career paths, what it takes to succeed in their positions, and the pros/cons of their sector of the industry. They will also share resume and interview tips, as well as advice for investment professionals looking to get into those sectors.

This event is geared toward IASC members and guests interested in learning more about careers in investments and/or making a switch within the investment industry or from a related industry (ex: public accounting).

Panelists' Bios

William Benton, CFA, Principal – William Blair & Company
William Benton, principal, CFA, joined William Blair & Company in 1997 as a technology analyst. He currently specializes in communications as well as industrial technology. Mr. Benton worked in research at SBC Warburg and with United States Cellular Corporation, May Department Stores Company, and Monsanto. Mr. Benton is also a certified public accountant and certified management accountant. In 2001 and 2002, Mr. Benton was recognized in The Wall Street Journal's "Best On The Street," placing first for stock-picking in 2002. Mr. Benton is a member of the Investment Analysts Society of Chicago.

David G. Flinn, CFA, CPA Vice President, Investments – Grosvenor Capital Management
David Flinn joined Grosvenor Capital Management in 1999 and shares responsibility for investment research and portfolio monitoring, with a focus on equity strategies. From 1997 to 1999, he worked as senior associate for PricewaterhouseCoopers. Mr. Flinn is a Certified Public Accountant and a Chartered Financial Analyst and a member of the Investment Analysts Society of Chicago

Jodie M. Gunzberg, CFA, Portfolio Manager - Delaware Street Capital
Jodie Gunzberg has ten years investment experience across several asset classes including equities, fixed income, real estate, and alternatives.

Currently, Ms. Gunzberg is a Portfolio Manager at Delaware Street Capital, a multi-strategy hedge fund based in Chicago. Previously, she engineered and managed an equity market neutral portfolio at Driehaus Capital Management. Also at Driehaus, she co-managed quantitatively driven long only equity growth All Cap, Large Cap, Small Cap and International portfolios. Ms. Gunzberg
